What is the Inno Challenge?

We believe that dairy is extraordinary. We also believe that we need to rethink dairy and dairy products. The Inno Challenge is our open innovation program, designed to reinvent dairy TOGETHER by driving the growth of start-ups that have innovative, high-impact solutions that defy conventions in order to expand, sustainably develop and reinvent the dairy industry.

The Inno Challenge has two main components:

An online pre-selection process, followed by a pitch to a jury at an international event in Montréal next May

Funding and a customized accelerator program to help the selected start-ups grow quickly and sustainably

What are we looking for?

Agropur invites applications from innovative start-ups from around the globe who already have or would like to have a presence in Canada.

We're interested in innovative dairy-related solutions (food products, beverages, packaging solutions or industrial processes).

We're looking for passionate and dedicated teams with innovative solutions that demonstrate strong growth potential.

We are Agropur cooperative, Canada’s largest dairy cooperative processor, owned by more than 3,000 proud farmers. We focus on producing and selling dairy products, including fresh milk, ice cream, cheese, yogurt, milk powders and protein blends and much more.

Agropur was born on August 24, 1938 out of a collective initiative to create good dairy products to benefit everyone, so it's natural for us to help start-ups create new perspectives, shape the way the industry evolves and bring dairy to centre stage. The Inno Challenge is a concrete demonstration of Agropur's leadership in the North American dairy industry and its broad vision for innovation.
